TOOLBOX session 9 Media

I invited a friend of mine to shoot. I thought about a theme before shooting. I think my design is very oriental, so the style I set is Japanese. I painted her makeup, and I decided in advance, what kind of hairstyle should she wear in her outfit (black Japanese uniform).

I am equivalent to a stylist, photographer, and editor. I roughly decided on some props that I think fit the theme. For example, the bleak skull with a lot of flowers, which has a sense of erosion, and the big red flower headdress, with black. Long hair has a strong impact. It matches my red bead earrings. I think my customer, as a subculture lover, will like my design very much, not only because of the many Japanese elements in it, but also the weirdness, mystery and elegance revealed appear in the photos which are qualities that my customers will appreciate.

I finally used photoshop to edit, add filters, add words, and typeset. I think it’s very successful. I think the better point lies in my shooting ideas, but the missing point is that I didn’t think much about the customers’ ideas, and I took it for granted that this would attract customers. Next time I will pay more attention to this point. I may add the step of customer preference research to investigate the true preferences of customers, so that I can better target customer needs.
